Labour Market

The Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs gives frontline services in the areas of work permit to expatriates and Ethiopians.
It is necessary to participate individuals and private entities in the employment services and to protect the rights, safety and dignity of Ethiopians employed and sent abroad. To facilitate this overseas employment service, the mechanisms used are through Private Employment Agencies and Public Employment Service. The contract form to be filled and workflow for the services at the Public Employment Service are as attached to this page. The criteria to be fulfilled by Private Employment Agencies is also attached (Amharic Version). List of private employment agencies is herewith attached.

Social Welfare Development

As per its duties and responsibilities, the Ministry also puts its efforts towards the welfare of the aged, people with disabilities and people under difficult circumstances. Here attached with are directory of organizations dealing with issues of the aged, people with disabilities and people under difficult circumstances. Attached is also international plan of action on the aged as per the 2002 Madrid International Conference.
